With the beautiful Autumn season upon us people are turning their excitement toward the ghoulish activities of late October. A staple of the season these days are zombies. Personally I don’t much care for the blokes, but as they are a genuine fear of many people it's probably a good time to talk about how to avoid becoming one.
Let’s first focus on what hazards will get you turned into a zombie[1].
- Exposure to radiation or toxic chemicals (if it doesn’t turn you into one of the Avengers first)
- Catch a nasty infection
- Get gnawed and nibbled on by a zombie (similar to a vampire but with less sparkles)
Luckily eLearning Brothers has courses that can help you avoid all pathogens, both bloodborne and airborne, as well as danger from chemicals.
Today let’s focus on the bloodborne and airborne pathogens course.
Really, any job where you might be exposed to blood or other body fluids while cleaning up poses an occupational risk for exposure to infectious pathogens. Even a cat groomer is at risk! Make sure you know how to determine your risk and how to protect yourself.
Our off-the-shelf course will teach you about other potentially infectious materials aside from blood. What’s more, you can teach your learners in several different ways, including instructor-led training (ILT), if you wish. All of our off-the-shelf courses include a full PowerPoint presentation and facilitator guide that you can edit as needed to provide the best learning experience.
We’ve also followed our Rockstar Learning Model so your learners can complete their Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens training in several bite-sized chunks. These are complete with quiz questions, a participant workbook, supplemental materials, job aid, and to make things even easier for you, a getting started guide.
If you’re interested in the eLearning versions of this course we have the entire thing built out and xAPI-ready inside Storyline 3, Storyline 360, and Captivate 2017.
Safety when dealing with exposure to bloodborne or airborne pathogens is paramount in keeping your employees healthy. The time you spend training is valuable, and with our off-the-shelf courses you’ll get so much of that time back!
Give us a call or schedule a demo today, and learn how to prevent your workforce from becoming zombies!
