Rocking Your Learning Management: Week 1 - Channels, Events & Boards

Earlier this month we introduced the most exciting learning platform out there, The Rockstar Learning Platform. 

This is a game changer for learning and development departments everywhere. We've taken the core of a learning management system (LMS) and paired it with the best of a learning experience platform (LXP) and combined them together into a next generation experience designed for eLearning Rockstars.

We've been sharing short videos on our social media accounts introducing the coolest features in the Rockstar Learning Platform, and we decided to recap them here for you.

Let’s go through a few of the many rocking learning management features we’ve included with this launch:

Contribute Content in Channels

This is hands down one of the coolest feature sets ever to be seen in a learning management system.

When you hear people talk about LXP they always talk about “curating content.” AKA getting content from other places in your organization and letting anyone contribute. Well, that's what we did here. We wanted to make it very easy for anyone to author content anywhere they are, at any time, and contribute to our learning path.

Get Credit for Attending Virtual Events

Lots of people have had instructor-led training modules for many years, that's not what we were trying to deliver. Of course we've got that but, we know that today more of these meetings are going on virtually. To make managing virtual events easier, our goals when developing the Events module were to: 

• Centralize it to one location regardless of the virtual event/meeting platform 
• Give you the ability to put it inside of a larger learning context inside a curriculum with your on-demand training
• Give you some confirmation code capability so that your users can get credit for attending these live events

Socialize Content with Boards

Boards is a way for any user at any level to find great content they love inside of their Rockstar Learning Platform and share it with other users. By curating it to a board, users can provide some context for what they’re sharing and make it easier for other users to access and get value out of it.
